Please Read our Important Updates!!! We thank you for supporting us through this unusual time of COVID-19 as we are here for you! We realize that information continues to change and things will not go back to the way they used to be during this period of collective social challenge. At this time, the San Mateo County Health Department has deemed routine eye care as essential and we can start opening our door. In order for us to serve you during this time, there are mandated COVID-19 guidelines that we will be following. Our team is innovating and creating protocols so that we are equipped and ready to serve you. We ask that you take a moment to read about the new Practice and Procedures in place, so you are aware of the modifications that are being made. Please note, we are now seeing New and Established patients Tuesday through Saturday. Practices & Procedures in Place: *Masks are to be wornby ALL patients and the Winking Bee Optometry team while in the office. *Temperature will no longer be taken with a non-contact thermometer of everyone who enters the office. *Exam rooms and equipment are disinfected before and after every patient. All doctors and office staff are using hand sanitizer between patients along with active hand washing with soap and water. *We no longer have a common seating area to accommodate for social distancing. *We respectfully request that patients arrive at the office by themselves. Minors under 18 years of age can be accompanied by one guardian. *If you have a guest, please ask them to wait for you in the car. *We have altered our schedule to limit the number of patients in the office at one time. Therefore, all patients will need an appointment to come into the office. We will maximize the time that each patient is in the office. *Patient information and health history will be done verbally over the phone prior to their appointment. Please bear with us as it will seem like a longer process, but it will minimize the time you are in the office. *All of our frames are sanitized for your safety. Our dispensary will be guided by our skilled opticians to help you through your frame selection. We ask that patients not try on frames without assistance.
*If you have had exposure to others exhibiting these signs or symptoms or have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 14 days, we ask that you reschedule your appointment. *PLEASE STAY HOME and reschedule your appointment if: you are experiencing any of these symptoms: *Fever of 100.4 degrees or higher *New loss of taste or smell *Digestive discomfort or other flu-like symptoms.
We will continue to update our community and patients as information changes. We appreciate your compliance, understanding, and patience. Winking Bee is continually adopting practices and procedures in the office which are compliant with the current CDC guidelines and the San Mateo County Health Department to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus. We encourage you to do the same. Feel free to check in with us on Facebook as we will be utilizing that platform more frequently. Try to take a walk outdoors daily to minimize screen time. Remember to continue to wash your hands for 20 seconds with soap and water. Keep up with your home exercises and maintain healthy eating habits. We care about you and are here for you. Please let us know if there is anything we can help with at this time!
