Dr. Minjung Lew — Optometrist
Dr. MinJung Lew brings over ten years of experience to Winking Bee Optometry. As a graduate of UC Berkeley School of Optometry, Dr. Lew particularly enjoys treating the entire family. Her comfort level with young children makes her especially unique as she is able to provide early eye exams for infants and toddlers.
Dr. Lew’s passion for Optometry extends beyond her practice as she has served as the President of the San Mateo County Optometric Society for the past two years. This position has enabled her to stay current with legislation, moderate techniques and practices, and contribute to the improvement of the Optometry profession to better serve the community. |
Prior to her acceptance at UC Berkeley, Dr. Lew’s interest in vision health led her to work in a research laboratory where she studied the effects of Myopia. She also worked at the UC Berkeley Optometry clinic where she gained further experience in patient care under the tutelage of Berkeley faculty and clinicians.
In her spare time, Dr. MinJung Lew enjoys hiking, reading, traveling, running, and swimming. Her recent accomplishments include completing the Chicago Marathon and the Hot Chocolate 15k. The remainder of her spare time is spent with her young son and husband, Geoff who is a physical therapist at Aero Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine in San Mateo and Burlingame.

Dr. Jocelyn Liao — Optometrist
Dr. Jocelyn Liao has been proudly caring for the vision needs of patients of all ages for over nine years, working with the latest advances in optical technology. It is through these years of experience that Dr. Jocelyn Liao has developed her own specialized method of optical health care.
Vision care from Dr. Liao follows her approach that the eyes are not just a separate region of the body, but one which works as an integral part of the whole. Under her careful tutelage, eye care from Winking Bee always aims to achieve not only clear vision, but also overall wellness. |
Dr. Jocelyn Liao’s work through higher education began with her Undergraduate degree in Nutrition Science from the University of California at Davis, before attending the St Louis College of Optometry through the University of Missouri to earn her doctorate in Optometry. This unique medical background provides Dr. Liao with an intricate understanding of both optical health, as well as the many ways which overall health can affect one’s visual clarity. Once the president of the San Mateo County Optometric Society, today Dr. Liao is proud to be given the opportunity to serve as Treasurer of the Bay Area Optometric Council.
In her spare time, Dr. Jocelyn Liao enjoys hiking, cooking, exercise, and spending as much as time as possible with her husband and two young children.
