CONTACT LENSES

Contact lenses correct your vision and are easy to wear. Choosing the contact lenses that are right for you depends on your vision and the degree of comfort sought. There are many types of contacts to suit almost anyone. Types of contact lenses include:

*NEW* CooperVision MiSight contact lenses
We are proud to announce we are providers for the first FDA-approved soft contact lens clinically proven to slow myopia progression for children 8-12 years old. Please call to schedule a myopia management consultation to learn more.

Soft Contact Lenses

Soft contact lenses are the most commonly prescribed due to the fact that they are extremely comfortable. Soft contacts are now available in multi focal, for astigmatism and even for overnight wear. Soft contact lenses include
  • Disposable: can be worn for just one day, then discarded
  • Extended Wear: can be worn overnight
  • Color-Changing: can change the color of your eyes, even if vision correction is not needed

Gas Permeable Lenses
Gas-permeable lenses,  or hard contact lenses offer sharper vision and can correct severe nearsightedness or astigmatism. At Winking Bee Optometry, we offer all types and brands of contact lenses specifically fitted for each individual's needs. It is very important that your lenses are fitted correctly based on your prescription, eye shape and specific needs.

Hybrid Contact Lenses
Hybrid contacts
are large-diameter lenses that have a gas permeable central zone, surrounded by a peripheral zone made of soft or silicone hydrogel material. The purpose of this design is to provide the visual clarity of GP lenses, combined with wearing comfort that is comparable to soft lenses.

Orthokeratology lenses
Orthokeratology is a reshaping treatment program designed to reduce and/or eliminate your dependency on eyeglasses or contact lenses during the day. The process reduces your refractive error by wearing corneal molding retainer therapeutic lenses that will gently and non-surgically reshape your corneas as you sleep.
